Paste the exact page you want markup for: your homepage, a service page, a blog post or a product. Prefer to fill it in yourself? Build it manually.

How the generator works

Start With the Page, Not a Blank Form

Most schema generators hand you an empty form and a dropdown of types, then leave you to guess. That is backwards. The page already says what it is. So this one reads it first: the address, whether it is your homepage or a service page, the phone number in the header, the FAQ block halfway down, the YouTube video, the HIA or Master Builders badge in the footer. It ticks the types that fit, tells you why, and fills in every field it can find.

It also checks what is already there. WordPress plugins like Rank Math and Yoast add their own markup quietly, and the classic mess is two competing LocalBusiness blocks with different phone numbers. If a type is already on the page, the tool says so and leaves it unticked, so you only add what is missing.

We ran it on our own Small Business SEO page while building it. It recognised a service page, pulled our Wanneroo address and 1800 number, found the Google Partner badge for the memberships list, and then flagged that the page was already outputting Service, LocalBusiness and FAQPage. Which is exactly the point: a little humbling, and far more useful than generating a fourth copy.

What it will not do is invent anything. Structured data only counts when it matches what people can see. Mark up reviews that are not on the page, or a Fremantle office you closed in 2022, and you are inviting a manual action rather than a richer listing. Check the prefilled fields, fix anything out of date, paste the block in, then run it through Google’s Rich Results Test.

And a reality check, kindly meant. Schema is not a ranking factor. It helps Google read the page and can earn breadcrumbs, prices or a logo in the results, which lifts clicks. It will not move a thin page up the rankings, no matter how perfect the code is.

Schema Markup Generator, Answered

What people ask after their first scan. Got a site with three locations, two plugins and a schema mess nobody wants to touch? That is our kind of problem. Call 1800 967 911 and talk to someone in our Wanneroo office.

Not directly, and Google has been clear about that. It helps search engines understand the page and can earn a richer listing, which lifts click-through. The gain is in how your result looks and how many people click it, not in where it sits.

The public version of the page you enter: its title, description and headings, phone and email links, any address in the text, social profile links, the logo, FAQ sections, embedded videos, breadcrumbs, prices on product pages, membership badges and any schema already there. It cannot see behind a login, and pages built entirely in JavaScript may come back thin. Either way you can edit every field.

The most specific one that is true. A Joondalup plumber should be Plumber rather than plain LocalBusiness, and an Osborne Park accountant AccountingService. If nothing fits, LocalBusiness or ProfessionalService is fine. Google cares far more about the name, address and phone matching your Google Business Profile than about the subtype.

Memberships use the memberOf property to connect your business to industry bodies such as Master Builders WA, the HIA, Master Plumbers or CPA Australia. They help search engines and AI answers confirm you are a legitimate, accredited operator. Only list bodies you belong to right now, and ideally show the badge on the site as well.

Often not for the basics. Where plugins fall down is anything unusual: multi-location businesses, service areas, memberships, or pages where the plugin insists on a template that does not match the content. If the scan shows your plugin already covers a type, leave it alone and only add the gaps, or switch that type off in the plugin before using ours.

The tool gives you one complete script block. Paste it into your SEO plugin’s custom schema box, a header code area, or straight into the page’s HTML. Head or body both work. Then test it in the Rich Results Test and keep an eye on Search Console’s enhancement reports over the following weeks.

Valid markup makes a page eligible; it does not mean Google will show the result. Google decides per query and is selective with some types, and FAQ rich results stopped appearing altogether on 7 May 2026, though FAQPage markup still labels questions and answers for any machine reading the page. Fix errors first, then give it a few weeks. Eligibility is not entitlement.
