Google Ads Brisbane: Google Ads Management That Works Back from What a Job Is Worth

A Google Ads campaign buys a place at the top of Google for the searches you choose, one click at a time. Perth Digital Edge runs Google Ads for Brisbane businesses on a flat monthly management fee scoped to the account, with no percentage of spend, no setup fee and no lock-in, and we recommend about $1,500 a month in media as a starting point for most small businesses. The account is built and run from Google’s own search, account and conversion data, because we use data, we do not guess.

Brisbane is where a click costs the most in our data, so this page begins there.

What a click costs in Brisbane

The most expensive local search in any of the six cities we track is a Brisbane one. Ahrefs (Australia, September 2026) estimates about US$8.00 a click for “plumber Brisbane”, on about 3,000 searches a month. “Web design Brisbane” costs about US$7.00 on 1,600 searches, and “family lawyer Brisbane” the same US$7.00 on about 700. “Electrician Brisbane” sits at about US$4.00 on 1,800 searches, “accountant Brisbane” at US$3.50 on 500, and “dentist Brisbane” and “physio Brisbane” at about US$2.50 on 1,800 and 400 searches respectively.

At US$8.00 a click a plumber cannot afford to learn slowly. Ten wasted clicks a day on people looking for a plumbing course, a supplier or a suburb across the river is real money by month’s end, and it is exactly what a broad match campaign with a thin negative list produces. A dentist at US$2.50 can test treatment by treatment and suburb by suburb, provided the tracking tells the truth about which tests worked.

The agency searches have shifted too. “Google Ads Brisbane” draws about 1,000 searches a month and shows an AI overview and video results, “Google Ads agency Brisbane” and “Google Ads management Brisbane” about 700 each, and “PPC agency Brisbane” about 250. Ahrefs puts the click cost for “Google Ads agency Brisbane” at about US$13, higher than any customer search here.

What Google Ads management means for a Brisbane business

The platform is not hard to switch on. What is hard is keeping the account pointed at buyers in the suburbs you service, at a cost per enquiry your margins can carry, week after week. That is the work you are paying a manager for.

We begin with your numbers rather than Google’s. What is an average job worth, how many enquiries become jobs, and how many jobs can the business take on this month. From those three answers comes a target cost per enquiry, and every later decision in the account, from which keywords to bid on to which suburbs to exclude, is measured against it. Without that target a campaign can look busy for months while quietly losing money.

Then the account is built so that it can be judged. One campaign per service, so that emergency call outs are not funding a slow moving installation campaign. Location targeting set to the suburbs you actually drive to. Negative keywords added before launch and expanded weekly. Conversion tracking that counts calls, forms and quotes, tested against what your office received.

We do this from Wanneroo, in Perth. Brisbane accounts are managed remotely, you get online meetings built on the live account data rather than reports, and we visit by arrangement where a project calls for it. The results below are from named clients in Perth and Hong Kong, and we would rather show you those than invent a Brisbane story.

Results from our Google Ads clients

FencrGatr, a Perth fencing and gates business, is the closest parallel for a Brisbane trade. Across Google and Meta advertising the campaigns returned 3.2 times their ad spend, while the wider work lifted organic traffic 312 percent and increased quote requests and enquiries by 215 percent.

Under our Google Ads management, 4×4 Extras, a Perth automotive accessories retailer, saw active users climb 161 percent, key events rise 186 percent, course sales grow 29 percent and the cost of each conversion drop 22 percent.

At Home Base in Perth, conversions were up 182 percent once the conversion tracking was repaired, recorded conversion actions were up 24 percent, and the media spend did not move.

Sense Recruitment, a recruitment firm in Perth, gained 21.8 percent more conversions from the same budget.

Therapy Partners, a Hong Kong psychology practice, had traffic from ads rise 20.3 percent and key events rise 14.4 percent after each service line was given its own campaign and the conversion tracking was set up properly.

The two reviews below are from clients who wanted plain answers. Jack Becker describes being told what the work would do for his business before he started, and Robbie Martin describes the part that matters most once a budget is live: doing what was promised.

I would highly recommend Ben as he was easy to talk too and answered all my questions. Understood what I needed and knew how to make it happen. In these hard times you need someone that can deliver on what they say they can do. If you want the best results use these guys.

What our Google Ads management includes

01

Target cost per enquiry

We work out with you what a job is worth and how many enquiries it takes to win one, then set the cost per enquiry the account must beat. Keyword Planner data tells us whether Brisbane click costs make that target realistic before anything is spent.

02

Campaign structure by service and margin

Each service gets its own campaign and budget so the profitable work never subsidises the marginal work. Emergency, repair, installation and quote searches are separated because they convert differently and are worth different amounts.

03

Suburb and radius targeting

Brisbane is a long way from north to south and the river matters. Location targeting is set to the areas you service and bid adjustments follow the suburbs that produce jobs rather than clicks.

04

Ads, assets and landing pages

Headlines carry the service and the area, descriptions say what the caller gets, and call, location and sitelink assets put a phone number in front of a mobile searcher. Every campaign lands on a page for that service with the phone number and quote form above the fold, fast enough on a phone according to Chrome UX Report data, and we build those pages through our web design work where the current site cannot.

05

Conversion tracking in Google Ads and GA4

Calls, forms, quotes and, for retailers, purchases and their value are tracked into the account and Google Analytics 4 and tested against real enquiries. Bidding learns from those events, so getting them right is the foundation of everything else.

06

Weekly negatives and online meetings in place of reports

The search term report is reviewed every week and the waste excluded. There is no recorded report to read; we meet and take you through spend, enquiries, cost per enquiry against target and the changes planned next.

Google’s data, read directly

A dashboard summary is an estimate of what happened. Our connection to Google’s APIs, running on Google Cloud, reads what actually happened.

01

Search Console API

Search Console data, pulled by API rather than from the standard report with its row limits, lists every query the site already earns without paying, so we can see where ads are buying clicks the site would get free.

02

Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics 4 shows which clicks turned into a call or a quote and which left.

03

Keyword Planner via the Google Ads API

From the Google Ads API we get every search term, ad and conversion in the account, with the tracking we configure feeding real enquiries back into it. Keyword Planner data arrives the same way: Google’s own volumes and click costs by service and by Brisbane suburb.

04

Natural Language API

The Natural Language API tells us which entities Google extracts from a landing page, so a page meant for “hot water repairs Brisbane” is confirmed to read that way, and Chrome UX Report field data through the PageSpeed Insights API shows how that page performs for the people who actually load it.

What Google Ads management costs in Brisbane

The management fee is flat, monthly and set after the free audit, because the audit reveals how many campaigns, landing pages and tracking repairs the account needs. It is not a percentage of your media spend, and there is neither a setup fee nor a lock-in. Google bills the clicks to your own account, and about $1,500 a month in media is the floor we suggest for most small businesses.

Option What it suits Investment
Free audit of your account or your plans Any Brisbane business, before spending or changing anything No charge
Single service search management A trade or professional practice targeting its own service area Flat monthly management fee, plus media from about $1,500 a month
Multi-service and Shopping management Several service lines, or a retailer with a product feed Flat monthly management fee, plus your media budget
YouTube campaign testing Businesses with video assets and a national market to test Media from about $5,000 a month for national campaigns, management scoped
Local SEO to reduce paid dependence over time Trades and practices whose service pages can rank for the searches they currently buy Single area SEO campaigns run $2,000 to $2,800 a month

You will know the fee before you commit to anything, and you can end the engagement with thirty days notice if the numbers stop making sense.

How a Brisbane account runs

01

Month one

The audit or build. Tracking is installed in Google Ads and GA4 and tested with real calls and forms, Keyword Planner data is pulled for every service and suburb, the target cost per enquiry is agreed, and campaigns, ads, negatives and location settings are written.

02

Months two to six

The weekly rhythm. Search terms reviewed, negatives added, budgets moved toward the campaigns that produce enquiries under target, ad variations tested and landing pages adjusted from what GA4 shows. Cost per enquiry is set against the target in our meetings, with the account on screen.

03

Month seven onward

Growth on evidence. New suburbs and services are added where the data supports them, Shopping or remarketing where they earn a place, and spend is withdrawn from searches your site has begun to win organically, the work our SEO Brisbane page describes.

Frequently asked questions

It is worth it when the account can produce enquiries below the cost per enquiry your margins allow, which depends on structure, tracking, landing pages and how quickly you follow up. Part of the free audit is telling you honestly whether the numbers work before you spend.

When someone searches, Google runs an auction among the advertisers bidding on that search. Position depends on the bid and on Google’s quality measures, which include expected click through rate, ad relevance and landing page experience. You pay when someone clicks, so a tighter keyword list and a stronger page lower the cost of each visit.

They are the same platform. Google renamed AdWords to Google Ads in 2018 as the product grew beyond search to include Shopping, Display, YouTube and remarketing. Accounts built in the AdWords era often carry settings that no longer suit the platform, which an audit checks first.

No. The engagement is month to month with thirty days notice, the account and its history stay in your name, and the fee is flat rather than a share of your spend.

For most small businesses, at least about $1,500 a month in media. Where clicks are expensive, such as plumbing at about US$8.00 a click according to Ahrefs (Australia, September 2026), a larger budget is needed to collect the same amount of conversion data, and the audit is where we size it.

Yes. Google Ads lets us target suburbs, postcodes or a radius around your base and exclude the rest, and the geographic report is reviewed weekly to catch clicks from outside the area.

There is no universal figure. A good cost per lead is one that leaves a profit after the job is done, which is why we work back from job value and close rate before setting a target and judge the account against that number rather than an industry average.
