How the generator works
Start With the Page, Not a Blank Form
Most schema generators hand you an empty form and a dropdown of types, then leave you to guess. That is backwards. The page already says what it is. So this one reads it first: the address, whether it is your homepage or a service page, the phone number in the header, the FAQ block halfway down, the YouTube video, the HIA or Master Builders badge in the footer. It ticks the types that fit, tells you why, and fills in every field it can find.
It also checks what is already there. WordPress plugins like Rank Math and Yoast add their own markup quietly, and the classic mess is two competing LocalBusiness blocks with different phone numbers. If a type is already on the page, the tool says so and leaves it unticked, so you only add what is missing.
We ran it on our own Small Business SEO page while building it. It recognised a service page, pulled our Wanneroo address and 1800 number, found the Google Partner badge for the memberships list, and then flagged that the page was already outputting Service, LocalBusiness and FAQPage. Which is exactly the point: a little humbling, and far more useful than generating a fourth copy.
What it will not do is invent anything. Structured data only counts when it matches what people can see. Mark up reviews that are not on the page, or a Fremantle office you closed in 2022, and you are inviting a manual action rather than a richer listing. Check the prefilled fields, fix anything out of date, paste the block in, then run it through Google’s Rich Results Test.
And a reality check, kindly meant. Schema is not a ranking factor. It helps Google read the page and can earn breadcrumbs, prices or a logo in the results, which lifts clicks. It will not move a thin page up the rankings, no matter how perfect the code is.
